Lynn’s first yoga class ended with a very sore arm. Not because she had gotten injured doing an asana but because she had burst out laughing when the instructor started to chant OM and in return, she got a tight towel slap from her friend on the next mat. Little did Lynn know or expect yoga would mean and become so much more to her 8 years later.
Yoga has been a transformational journey for Lynn. Having worked in the shipping and oil industry for the past 10 years, yoga has helped Lynn through times of stress in both her professional and personal life. From an innocent group trial session, Lynn’s passion for yoga developed beyond the importance of self-practice. Lynn realizes the benefits of practicing yoga and hopes to share and serve others in hope others will also come to realize the same wonders she has come to experience, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
Lynn believes that whatever one chooses to do, one should always try to have fun whilst at it and that translates in her classes. Expect a fun-filled, dynamic and strong asana class. “Sometimes, we belittle ourselves too much. We are way lot stronger than we think we actually are,” says Lynn, who once always failed physical fitness in school but successfully completed the Spartan Race last year.
With a personal history of sciatica, Lynn is especially keen on anatomy of the human body and constantly seeks ways on how one can heal or better care for ourselves, always keeping yoga practices safe for the body.
Lynn is a RYT200hr certified in Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga, RYT100hr in Mindful Birth; Yoga for Pregnancy, Birth & Baby, CET 5hr The Art of Adjustments with Vari Morales.
